Does a fault code prove what is wrong?
Not on its own. A fault code helps guide investigation, but finding the cause may require further checks. These are agreed separately.
How much does diagnostics cost?
The price is agreed before work based on the car and symptoms. Further investigation and repairs are agreed separately.
Does this replace the statutory inspection?
No. Workshop diagnostics and a visual condition check do not replace the statutory vehicle inspection.
